It's not often you find such a rust free and original Bronco. This one has stood the test of time and still wears quite a bit of the original paint. Under the hood, things are in order and that 302 sounds great. Tasteful upgrades like a 2.5" suspension lift help set it apart from the stock Broncos and lifted behemoths.
Still wearing most of its original Sequoia Brown Poly, this Bronco is an impressive survivor. Obviously with nearly 50 years on the clock the paint isn't perfect. The passenger side had a partial repaint though the start/stop is hard to find. Paint receipts indicate a new door skin and repaint on the front fender and door. There are some thin spots, especially on the hood. There are also scratches & stone chips. The doors open and close nicely and line up very well. Rust wise, you would be hard pressed to find a cleaner original. Again, this isn't a 2022 but if you appreciate a bit of character this one needs to be seen.
Inside the interior presents quite well. New seat upholstery has been installed both front & rear. The entire tub floor was treated to a coat of protective bedliner. A factory mat is in place and covers the original floors.
Mechanically this Bronco feels excellent. The 302 has been upgraded with an Edelbrock Performer intake manifold, Holley Street Avenger carburetor, electronic ignition, Wild Horses headers and more. It really runs nicely, trans shifts properly and feels smooth down the road. Documentation shows the engine was replaced in 2003 at 47,033 miles. Current odometer is showing 62,195. The transmission was replaced at 24,000 miles. While the transmission was out the transfer case was gone through as well. The 9" was rebuilt with a Trac Lock at 14,489 miles. Receipts also show the driveline was rebuilt.
The suspension has been upgraded with 2.5" lift front & rear leaf springs, Duff shocks and bushings. It sits perfectly with just enough lift to look distinguished...not like its trying too hard. There is plenty of clearance for those 32" BFG All Terrains.
