1965 Ford Mustang Convertible Project
A-Code 289ci V8 4V
3-speed Manual Transmission
Tons of Metal Work already completed!
Originally Rangoon Red with Black Vinyl Interior
This Mustang is a stalled restoration project and in it's current state would make a good original build being that this Mustang started life as a 225Hp car with a desirable color combination, or would be a prime candidate for a pro touring Mustang. With the majority of the metal work already completed, the next step is to decide how you would like to proceed with the build. The trunk pan and all floors, torque boxes, wheel wells etc have all been replaced and have been coated for protection. The body is currently in primer and is ready to begin the process of final fitment & painting to your desired color. The top will need replaced but the top frame is an great condition. The seats are currently bolted in place and are presentable but some small tears are seen. The engine and transmission are currently sitting in place but it is unknown of the condition and should be inspected before attempting to start. Included are many parts that were removed (most of which have been labeled) but some parts are missing, see pictures. Currently the original suspension is bolted in place for transportation, but will need fully assembled during the completion of this restoration. A complete photoset can be seen above to show the current state of the restoration of this Mustang.
