Super Solid California Bronco
Here is a hard to find Bronco. This one hasn't been restored and isn't a bucket of rust. A Texas delivered Bronco that moved to Northern California, this one is solid. Original floors, rockers and interior that are still in good condition. Obviously this one is un-restored & greasy so you need to look beyond that to see how good this one is. This one does currently run and drive but I would recommend a good inspection prior to any dedicated street use.
The paint on this one is the 2nd repaint. Originally Dark Green Metallic, this was a great looking Bronco. At some point it was changed to Candy Apple Red then to the current Brown. It seems to have avoided any serious collisions as the panels all appear to be original. Recently the former owner did dent the front drivers fender, see pics. The fender is savable but I would recommend a new one. Otherwise the body looks to be a good solid platform for a repaint. The factory hard top does have a spot of rust on the passenger side above the drip rail, see pics.
Inside the interior appears to be the born with. The original seat frames appear good but the parchment upholstery is shot. The original rubber floor mat is in tact but is hard & brittle. Overall though, a very solid base for restoration.
The 302 runs nicely and powers the Bronco quite well. It has the original emission systems including air injection and catalytic converter. Even the exhaust has the exhaust heat shielding above the muffler and catalytic system. Th C4 transmission goes into gear quickly and shifts properly. The Dana 20 shifts between drives easily.
The power steering is effortless and feels tight. The power brakes work excellent as well.
The wheels are brand new US Mags 15 x 8 with new 31 x 10.50 tires.
