As lore would have it, this Sprint sat in a garage for many years being used as a laundry bench after the original owner passed away. The only casualty of that was the paint as the top surfaces were worn from years of use. The second owner purchased the Sprint and set things right by having it repainted in the factory color...only to leave it in his garage for fear of ticking up the miles.

As it sits now the paint still shines like it was applied last week. The chrome & bright trim are exceptionally nice, take a look at the pics. The panels are straight & line up nicely. If you are looking for a factory panel, rust free car you would be hard pressed to find a finer example.

To look into the interior is like peering into a time machine. The upholstery & trim are in great condition, still supple with good support. The only signs of age are on the plastic trim that has faded over time.

Under the hood the 289 is still quite stock and wearing its original black & gold outfit. Not much has changed in 56 years. The engine still fires up easily and runs nicely. It hasn't seen much street duty but the systems work nicely. The C4 transmission works well. The original exhaust was replaced with a nice dual system that sounds great.

The extremely rare 65 Sprint hubcaps are still in the trunk. The current Cragar mags are in excellent shape and fit the car well.
