This is one of our favorite and most asked for builds, we call it the Storm Trooper. This '75 spent the first 30 years of its life in California before moving to Montana, meaning it was spared the ravages of salted roads and rainy weather. The 2 prior owners kept excellent receipt documentation including engine rebuild/replacement, brake conversion, etc. This Bronco has been steadily driven and improved. This isn't a fresh restoration, it was more of a build in process. The modifications had all been made to ensure this is an excellent & reliable driver. We just made it look cool.
The body was just professionally repainted in Ford Oxford White, Two-Stage Base/Clear paint. The doors open & close easily while lining up quite well. The hood is a fiberglass unit that allows clearance for the larger 351 Windsor. The paint finish is quite nice. New emblems, mirrors, door handles & hardware were just installed.
Inside the interior was just treated to new seating from Tom's. This is their premium set up with matching Fold-N-Tumble rear seat. The front seat belts are 3 point retractable with new lap belts in the rear. The tub was completely Rhino-Lined.
Under the hood lives a 1969 Vintage 351 Windsor that was rebuilt using a mild camshaft, Performer intake manifold, balanced reciprocating assembly, electronic ignition, tubular exhaust headers and more. It has about 160 more horsepower and 100 lb/ft of torque than the original 302. The C4 transmission shifts nicely and makes this a very nice Bronco to drive.
The brakes have been upgraded to 4 Wheel Power Disc Brakes from Master Power. Braking is dramatically better than the stock drums.
The lighting has been completely upgraded with LED Projector Headlights, LED brake & tail lights and even LED marker lights. All lenses were replaced with new smoked lenses. The headlights are extremely bright for comfortable night driving.
The tires and wheels are brand new units. The tires are Toyo AT II's which really work well on Broncos. Their squared sidewalls seam to mitigate a lot of the hunting Broncos are known for. They have excellent tread wear, 60k miles, so they will last quite some time. The wheels are from Moto Metal with the perfect off set keeping the tires inside the fenders and they look great too.
The suspension has a 3" lift with components from Wild Horses. The frame has been braced for the steering box and the steering geometry is dialed on this one. It track excellent down the road without the normal bump steer. The extended radius arms offer more suspension travel for off road adventures and have degreed bushings for more caster so it tracks better on the road. The shocks were just replaced with high end Bilstein shocks for a nice ride and capable off road performance. This Bronco easily passes the one hand steering at 60mph test.
For Washington State residents only, A documentary service fee in an amount up to $150 may be added to the purchase price or capitalized cost.
