This lucky Fastback was the lucky recipient of a full rotisserie restoration. The previous owner kept a photo journal of the cars progress for reference. Unfortunately, the previous owner died just prior to the car being finished and never had a chance to enjoy the car. The car was driven by the family approximately 40 miles since the restoration and was put into storage for 2 years.

 

The restoration started with a solid body that was mounted on a rotisserie. The paint was completely stripped and the body was repainted in a beautiful Mercedes Benz Obsidian Black with Charcoal LeMans stripes. The bumpers, bezels and bright trim have been replaced with restoration quality reproductions.

 

Inside the black interior has been restored with new seat upholstery, carpet, door panels, head liner and dash bezels. The interior features a factory floor console and fold down rear seat.

 

Under the hood the 289 was rebuilt with a larger camshaft, aluminum intake and upgraded ignition system. A finned aluminum oil pan was fitted for good looks and extra cooling. It sounds great thanks to the dual exhaust & Thrush performance mufflers. The engine produces approximately 275 horsepower and has great power right off idle on up.

The 4-Speed transmission is a hugely popular option. It is shifted through the factory reverse lock out equipped linkage. The clutch engages smooth & properly.

 

Options like the Power Front Disc Brakes and Power Steering make this car truly enjoyable to drive.

 

The suspension system and steering linkage has been rebuilt and improved with larger front sway bar, upgraded shocks and new springs. The car drives very nicely with excellent road manners.

Coy’s C67 Eleanor wheels have been installed with 17x8 in the front & 18x8 in the rear. They fit perfectly and look great.
