Excellent Running 351 Cleveland
4 Speed Toploader Transmission
First off, this car has extensive undercarriage rust that has been partially repaired during a prior restoration. From the exterior there really aren't signs of body rust and the car does look pretty nice. The paint shines nicely and the panels line up fairly well. Who can resist a '69 with a rear spoiler & rear window louvers? Constant thumbs up, bent necks and waves are what this one gets out on the street.
Inside the interior is equipped with the correct woodgrain dash & door panel inserts. There is obviously some wear, especially on the seats. The frames appear to be in good condition and are the correct Mach 1 specific pieces.
The 351 Cleveland is obviously a transplant replacing the 351 Windsor 4 Barrel. It does run well and sounds great. The 4 Speed toploader is equipped with a Hurst linkage and works nicely. Mechanically the car appears sound and works properly.
Underneath, you will see that during the previous restoration, that looks to have taken place many years ago, there were rust repairs. Some of which are sound, others will need to be addressed. The car works fine as is but any long term ownership should address these given the value of this car.
