This El Camino was just examined by Chris White of Super Car Restoration. Chris's company specializes in high end restorations and is considered an expert on these big block Chevrolets. He also certified the only other known L89 ElCamino.

Only 1 other L89 El Camino is known to exist. It is reported to be in 'The Brother's Collection'. As such the possibility of it ever being available is quite low making this nice example an extremely rare opportunity for the L89 enthusiast.

This is a very well documented car with both build sheets, Protecto Plate, Numbers Matching Engine, Numbers Matching Transmission M22 'Rock Crusher' and Numbers Matching 12-Bolt 4.10 Posi.

This one is a one-owner car since new. The title is the original and still has it's original registration card stapled to it.  It only recently emerged from the garage where it has sat for nearly 35 years. It was last licensed in 1989. Mileage on the odometer is believed to be original at just over 68k miles.

The body appears to be completely rust free with no signs of rust in the floors, quarters, doors, bed, etc. It appears this one slept inside its whole life which is a good thing as these don't last long in the elements. The paint has seen some touch ups here and there. Some are obvious others are hard to see. There is some body damage on the driver's door and quarter panel as pictured. The doors, hood and tailgate all open and close nicely. The paint was just polished and shines quite nicely, but this isn't a show car. It could be driven as-is or go with a complete restoration.
