This is a Rare Car! Only 3,080 442 Convertible were produced for '67. Due to the nature of convertibles their survival rates were not the best. Finding an affordable solid driver can be quite hard as many of these cars have been completely restored and relegated to collections. The remaining cars tend to be begging for a full restoration costing well in excess of the finished car's value. If you have been thinking of one, take a good look at this one as you likely will not easily find another.

This is a great looking 442. The Provincial White paint shines well & shows off the body lines nicely. The paint is older and has some minor scratches & rock chips but it sits perfectly in the 'no-guilt driver' zone. The panels line up well and the original chrome still shines nicely. It gets an endless supply of thumbs up and smiles from even the most non-car people and the die hard car enthusiast alike.

The Power Convertible Top upholstery is nice and the hydraulics function quite well.

Inside the Blue Bucket Seat upholstery and factory Floor Shift Console look great. The light blue makes for a gorgeous & comfortable place to spend a sunny cruise. The factory stereo is in place but an upgraded stereo has been added under the dash. The heater works nicely though the air conditioning will need to be serviced. The instrumentation was upgraded with a Dakota Digital system complete with tachometer and a full host of gauges.

Under the hood the 400 Cubic Inch 'Ultra High Compression' engine runs excellent and has really nice manners. By 'Ultra High' Oldsmobile might have been stretching things as its only 10.5 to 1 so it runs just fine on 92 octane fuel at the pump. It does have really good torque as they are known for. The original block was replaced with a '68 400 block with the correct 'G' suffix and the cylinder heads are the correct 'C' 394548 heads with the KW stamped on the passenger cylinder head. This one appears to be a fresh rebuild with 743 miles on the clock, receipts were not provided. The TH400 automatic transmission works nicely and also appears to have been rebuilt with the engine as it is quite clean, again no receipts were provided.

The front brakes were upgraded to disc brakes and much of the steering and suspension received some attention. There were new ball joints, tie rod ends and bushings installed as needed.  The car really drives nicely. The steering box was also upgraded at some point as well.

Out back the differential is a Heavy Duty 12-Bolt with boxed control arms and a sway bar.

The exhaust system is a Pype's Stainless Steel kit with an X-pipe that sounds amazing. It is quite mellow with a deep note, much quieter than you would expect a performance exhaust to be.

The driveline was rebuilt and balanced at Drivelines Northwest.

This one really is ready for the open road with all of these tasteful options and upgrades.
