This is a very interesting car, optioned very similarly to the BOSS 302. With the combination of the paint & interior colors, the 4 speed, the 351Windsor 4 Barrel and the manual steering. This car also has something we have never seen before, what appears to be factory staggered rear shocks. Currently the car does not have the shock in position so it is hard to say if it had ever been used. The large brace/shock mounting plate that Ford spot welded into the trunk of the car is present and even the factory spray seam sealer is over the top of it. The only cars that came factory with the staggered rear shocks were BOSS 302's and 428 Cobra Jet cars. It has been said that the first BOSS cars were actually based from the 351 fastbacks.

This fastback was resting in a garage for the last 20 or so years. Luckily it was dry storage and the car survived storage well. The car was in good condition when it was parked with only minor chips associated with a driven car. The paint job was not a high end, but a decent driver quality. We just had the paint wet sanded and buffed. It looks great and presents well. This is not a show car but a good daily driver quality car. Rust wise the car is in good condition. There is some minor rust at the rear of the passenger quarter and a couple of very small bubbles in the door corners. The floors are in good condition as are the trunk floors, torque boxes and frame rails.

When we removed the factory carpet we found the orinal build sheet still in good condition. Even the factory sound deadening underlayment was good. The front seats were reupholstered with new seat buns. New molded carpet was installed and fit, it looks great. The instrument bezel was replaced with a new unit and the difference is amazing. The factory radio is still in place along with the factory heater controls. Overall the interior looks nice and would show well enough for a great driver or a weekend show'n shine.

Under the hood the original, numbers matching 351 has been detailed nicely. It runs excellent and has the great low end torque that the 351 Windsors were famous for. The factory exhaust was for the most part in great condition with the exception being the mufflers and tail pipes. We installed a kit from Scott Drake utilizing 2 1/4" aluminized pipe and Flowmaster mufflers. The car has a nice, throaty sound.

The Factory 4-Speed Toploader transmission still wears its original 69 specific shifter. It works nicely through the gears. The Toploaders were by far the finest 4-speeds of the Muscle Car Era.

Since the car had been stored so long, we replaced the master cylinder and wheel cylinders. The brakes now work nicely with a good feel.

The original fuel tank has also been replaced with a nice reproduction unit for many more years of worry free use.
