This is a rare opportunity to get into a running & driving Mach 1 under $20k! It seems that you can only find the 69 Mach 1’s as complete basket case projects or restored treasures.

 

This Mach 1 already has a rebuilt engine, new seat upholstery & carpet and factory styled steel wheels with new BF Goodrich Radial T/A’s.

 

The car presents well with a nice shine on a truly iconic body style. New Mach 1 stripes were just installed and look great. There are of course the obvious cosmetic issues with the paint, but for a no guilt driver, entry level Muscle Car or a restoration candidate this car fills a number of needs.

 

The original quarters are overall solid with a lower quarter repair panel on the passenger side. The doors have the typical rust at the bottom corners. The frame rails and rockers are in good condition. The floor pans are the original but do have the normal pinholes that would need to be addressed for restoration.

 

Inside the interior looks great. Fresh new front seat upholstery was just professionally installed. The carpet kit is also new and fits well. Desirable options like floor shift console are fold down rear seat are all present and trim out the interior nicely.

 

The engine has only a few miles on it since a complete rebuild by the previous owner whom had never even driven the car. The engine is a 302 that has been nicely detailed. I did not get any receipts as the previous owner did the assembly himself and the car was intended for his son. It was a stock rebuild intended for gas mileage so a stock spec cam was selected. The C4 transmission works well with nice, crisp shifts.

 

This is a great looking car with lots of potential value added. Simple weekend restoration efforts can bring this car up in both looks and value while not taking the car out of service for years. Make no mistake, this is not a show car or an all original survivor. It is a great looking Muscle Car priced well under the average price, and you can drive this one!
