This is a very nice Bronco. From the beginning of the build much thought was given. A very solid example was located in Los Angeles & delivered to a reputable paint shop in Anacortes, WA specializing in custom builds. The body was stripped and repainted in Raven Black. The panels fit nicely & the new chrome moldings set the black off perfectly.
The factory top was tossed, this Bronco was built to be a sunny day cruiser, not an all weather rig. We do have a brand new Bestop soft top in stock if you do need a top.
Inside the Bronco has a professionally sprayed in liner for easy clean up and to protect those metal floors from rust. It also looks great!
The dash panel was replaced with a brushed aluminum panel and fitted with a full complement of Autometer gauges. They look great and are a quantum leap ahead of the original gauges. The front seats are from Corbeau and are very comfortable. The back seat was removed to make room for the previous owner’s canine pal. Like the top, if you need a back seat, we have both factory seats and Fold-n-Tumble rear seats in stock. Since the top was to be left off the Bronco was optioned with locking Tuffy Glove Box, Center Console & Rear Storage Box. These provide excellent protection for your valuables. The rear storage box houses 2 Sub-Woofers & Stereo Amplifiers. An Alpine deck is installed in the dash.
Under the hood a nicely built 302 has been upgraded with a performance camshaft, Edelbrock Performer Aluminum Intake Manifold, Edelbrock 4 Barrel Carburetor, Performance Ignitions System, Ceramic Coated Long Tube Headers and Throaty 2 ½” Exhaust with Flowmaster Mufflers. The engine sounds incredible and runs excellent.
The transmission is a 5 Speed unit with an overdriven 5th gear. With a nice low 1st gear this transmission always has the right gear for the situation. The shifts are comfortable, the clutch works excellent and this Bronco is a great one to drive!
The wiring harness was replaced with a new Centech unit. The Centech unit offers not only a modern fuse box but the ability to add options easily.
The transfer case has been upgraded to an easy to operate ‘Twin-Stick’ offering you individual control of the front & rear axles.
The Wild Horses Suspension System was installed at Harris Off-Road. The kit included ‘Long-Arm’ extended length radius arms, long travel coil springs, long travel rear leaf springs, 2 Bilstein shocks at each corner, urethane bushings, rear anti-wrap traction bars and more. The system works excellent and really sets the truck up nicely. This Bronco was just aligned and has a full 4’ of positive caster. Steering is tight & responsive. This is an extremely capable on road and off road Bronco.
We upgraded the wheels to 17” x 9” Helos in full chrome. They really work with the chrome moldings and set the black off perfectly. The tires are 35”x12.50” Toyo AT II’s. These are the best tires we have found for the Broncos with their squared side walls and rubber compound they handle excellent and are very quiet on the road.
This is a great looking, well sorted out Bronco. The previous owner had reported an excess of $48k into the build. He had built the Bronco as a keeper and never intended on selling it.
