We LOVE finding numbers matching Super Sports. So many cars lost their original engines and for many made at Los Angeles it was a true loss as that was their only way to prove their original Super Sport heritage. This one has all the numbers clearly marked with no signs of tampering. The previous owners purchased the car in the mid-80's from what is believed to be the original owner so this one hasn't had many owners. The original Owner's Manual with Protect-O-Plate warranty card was still in the glove box.

This is probably the most solid original metal '69 Camaro we have ever had in inventory. Take a good look at the undercarriage on this car in the pics. When we were picturing the undercarriage we noticed the edge of the build sheet still visible, we dropped the tank and carefully slid it out. While a bit dusty many of the numbers are still visible. It is quite rare to find since the level of exposure. There are companies that professionally clean these to expose all the available numbers.

The paint on this one was done to protect the bare metal the previous owner had exposed after having the car media blasted. It looks good from a distance but it is by no means a professional job. The stripes are vinyl and had to be applied as a plain white Camaro is pretty drab. The factory spoiler is still in place and in original paint. The top is believed to be the original manual top and is in pretty good condition but would look like new with a coat of SEM Landau White top dye.

Inside, the interior is the original 'Born-With' Orange Houndstooth with plenty of wear from use. You can't really miss it with the top down as the orange was the calling card for the Indy Pace Cars. It is super fun and frankly the color just works somehow. It is still comfortable but really begs for a restoration in here. There are cracks in the door panels, separation on the seat seams and worn marks in the carpet. It could easily be driven for a season or two before resto as its still quite comfortable.

Under the hood the original 'Numbers Matching' 300 horsepower 350 as well as the numbers matching TH350. Both of which were rebuilt with receipt documentation. They only have a handful of miles on them and work great. The engine received hardened valve seats for unleaded fuel as well as being balanced, otherwise it was done to stock specs with an upgraded intake manifold. The transmission received a full rebuilt with a stage I shift kit. The carburetor, alternator, radiator and water pump are new as well.

The Factory Power Disc Brakes were a standard Super Sport option. They still functioned after storage but to be safe, we replaced the master cylinder and rear wheel cylinders. They work very well with a nice firm pedal and no pulling to either side.

The Factory Rally Wheels also appear to be the originals. We installed new Cooper Cobra 225 70 14 tires for safety reasons. They fill up the wheel wells nicely and drive really well too.
