This Mach 1 just emerged from a quality restoration. It has not seen a show, rain or any significant mileage since completion. The build started with well optioned, solid example.
The car is truly stunning painted in a high quality 2-stage Calypso Coral paint. The panels line up nicely and the color really pops. The side moldings have been nicely restored, new bumpers installed and the stainless has been professionally polished. The tail light bezels & Mach 1 panel molding trim were all replaced with high quality reproductions.
The car presents very nicely and would easily fit in at regional car shows or make a great sunny day cruiser.
The 428 Cobra Jet engine has been nicely detailed in the correct Ford Blue engine paint. It still wears its original finned aluminum valve covers, air cleaner, C80E-N cylinder heads and CJ exhaust manifolds. The 735cfm Holley Carburetor is a rare & expensive NOS unit. The engine has been upgraded with a larger camshaft and an Edelbrock F427 aluminum intake manifold. The block is an earlier production PI block. The aluminized exhaust is brand new with Flowmaster mufflers and reproduction rolled stainless tips. The engine runs excellent, sounds great and has excellent power.
Inside the car the whole interior has been restored. The seat upholstery, carpet, door panels, headliner, dash pad, instrument & clock bezels all have been replaced with quality reproduction units.
The tachometer equipped instrument cluster has been professionally restored and the gauges look truly elegant through crystal clear lenses. The car has been completely rewired with restoration quality reproduction wiring.
The car has been lowered 2” in front & 1” in the rear on brand new springs. The suspension front & rear has been completely replaced. Upgrades to the front include Total Control spindles, heavy duty front coil springs, roller bearing equipped spring saddles and urethane bushings.
The car handles excellent and drives tight. Magnum 500 Wheels in 15x7 with 235 60 front & 255 60 rears fill up the wheel wells nicely.
