It's no secret Broncos are one of the most in-demand vehicles in the classic car world. Appreciated by young & old alike. However, trying to find a nice, freshly built driver without a price tag nearing the six figure realm is starting to become a real issue. This Bronco fits the bill for the buyer without a huge budget who doesn't mind rolling up their own window.
Recently painted in Grabber Blue, this Bronco shines with a deep glow. The panels line up nicely for a Bronco. There are the obvious period upgrades like the tubular bumpers and steps. New modern LED Projector headlights are a nice visual upgrade while being a Huge functional upgrade.
Inside the interior has been completely bedlined. The seats are from Tom's Bronco offering fully reclining fronts and a Fold n Tumble rear seat.
The drivetrain consists of a mildly built 302 and C4 Automatic Transmission. These 2 were rebuilt approximately 50k miles ago. They were removed for restoration, cleaned & detailed. They perform VERY well. The engine has a mild cam, aluminum intake manifold, 4 barrel Edelbrock Carburetor and 70psi of oil pressure at a cold idle. The C4 was rebuilt with a shift kit for firm, positive shifts.
The brakes were upgraded to Power Disc in the front with rebuilt drum in the rear. They work excellent with smooth, confident stops.
The Power Steering works excellent and makes this Bronco an easy driver in tight situations.
The lift is a Duff 2 1/2" suspension lift with their own custom valved shocks. This one rides really nice and handles well. Some lift kits have 'long travel' springs which are good off road but lean drastically in the corners. This set up inspires confidence.
This one drives excellent with no drama. 60 miles per hour, no sweat, just one hand on the wheel and a smile on your face. New bushings, new tires, mild lift makes for a nice driver.
The original wire harness had fallen victim to mice & vermin as well as butt-connectors from stereos, cb's, off road lights & only God knows what else. A brand new Centech harness was installed complete with modern fuses & relays for safe daily use and the ability to upgrade systems like AC, larger stereo, etc.
The current stereo is in place but no speakers were installed yet. So if you are wanting to live out your 'Guitar Hero' dreams that will need addressed.
Obviously its impossible to go over all the intricacies of a build on a single page. Questions??? Please let us know!
