We counted ourselves very lucky to have picked this '67 up. Not very often are we able to find such a clean example, and from an owner of over 30 years.

 

Much love and attention went into the restoration of this car. The body panels fit exceptionally well and anybody who has worked with the Shelby panels will appreciate this. The bulk of the restoration work including the paint & body was done in the 1990's and the car has been stored in a garage since in a nearly completed state. We checked all the systems, replaced the fuel systems, pre-lubed the engine and it roared back to life.

The body of this '67 is in excellent condition. The previous owner spent a tremendous effort to get the Shelby Body Kit from Branda to fit the car far better than the factory specifications. All of the panels line up and really fit well. The whole car was prepped including the floors and firewall.

 

The car was painted in the original Dark Moss Green and it shines like an emerald. Looking the car over it is hard to believe that it was painted 18 years ago.
 

Inside the car the original interior has received a major face lift. An upgrade to Decor Trim specs with just a modern Pro Touring twist makes for a very tasteful interior. The instruments were sent to Branda where they were fitted with a Shelby Spec 140 MPH speedo and a 8k RPM tach. Both custom oil pressure and temperature gauges were added at this time.

 

The seats were just upholstered in TMI Pony Sport Upholstery. These offer excellent side bolsters and comfortable padding for long trips. New carpet, door panels, headliner, etc were added. Definitly a beautiful space to enjoy all the thumbs up!

Under the hood the 390 was rebuilt and upgraded with an Edelbrock F427 intake manifold, Cobra Jet Hydraulic Camshaft, Cobra Jet Exhaust Manifolds and a 2 1/2" Madrel Bent Exhaust System from Flowmaster. It sounds tremendous and has excellent torque. With less than 100 miles on the clock since the build there is a lot of life left in this mill.

The 4-Speed Toploader Transmission is a factory option on this car. It has been upgraded with a Hurst Shifter and works like a dream.

The 9" Rear Differential has been upgraded with a 3.70 Ratio Trac-Loc. This 390 has no problem turning both of the massive 275's to smoke when asked.

The brakes have been upgraded to Wilwood 12" 4-Wheel Disc Brakes. This system uses Wilwood's own custom master cylinder. The braking upgrade is truly incredible. The pedal feel is perfect, predictable and consistent.
