This 71 Bronco sits in a great place. It has received some of the 'must-have' upgrades and stands ready for someone to put the final touches on before starting on paint & body work. No need to pay for someone else's tastes only to sand them off. There are plenty of small projects to do before any serious street duty so we do consider this a project.

This Bronco looks great going down the road but get close and the imperfections are visible. If you want a no-guilt driver to enjoy on and off road then leave it as is. If you want a street princess then this one will need some work. There is rust in most of the normal areas and the previous owner did start on some repair work. The frame appears to be rust and accident free so you have a good base for restoration.

The top is a brand new unit from Tom's Bronco's. These soft tops fit excellent and look great with their denim fabric and tinted removable windows.

Inside the interior shows some wear but is a serviceable driver. The seats are comfortable and the floor has been fully carpeted. The roll bar is a 4-point bolt in unit. A tilt steering column has been added. Aftermarket gauges have been mounted but need to be hooked up to the engine. The factory speedometer does work properly but the gauges in the cluster have been disconnected for the installation of the aftermarket in dash gauges.

Under the hood the 302 runs excellent and sounds great. The clutch works nicely and the transmission shifts properly. The Dana 20 engages properly (for a Dana 20) using the factory 'T' style shifter. The gearing on this one is 3.50's so freeway cruising is comfortable with the 33" tires.

The lift is a 2" Suspension lift with Skyjacker coil springs. To correct for the steering geometry issues the radius arm mounting has been lowered for better front end alignment. The added 'caster' really helps to eliminate the 'Bronco Wander'.

The power steering appears to be a recent option upgrade. The hoses/fittings/brackets all appear recent.

The front disc brakes are recent editions with stainless steel brake hoses. These are not power assist but stop surprisingly easy.

The rear gas tank appears to have been recently replaced with new installation hardware and fuel sender.

The 33" tires are 13.5" wide so they will rub on a hard turn. These are aggressive tires that look great but they do make some noise on the highway.

This is a really cool Bronco for the right person. It looks great and sounds nice too. There are a lot of small & rewarding projects to be done for the capable enthusiast.
