This '67 is a very clean & original example. This one has spent the last 25+ years in dry storage. Originally a San Jose produced and Southern California delivered car, it came to Washington in the 80's. It was used as a daily driver until last being licensed in 1990 and being placed in dry storage.
The body appears to have escaped any visible collision damage and is quite straight with very clean lines. There is an older repaint done back in the early 80's that was done over the factory paint. There are thin spots, scratches & dings. Basically the Patina you would expect. Overall it is quite solid still thanks to its life lived indoors. There is some minor rust in the door corners and some pinholes in the passenger front floor pan (only visible on very close inspection). This one could be driven as a survivor of sorts as it still shines and looks good. It would make a very easy car to repaint and go for a nice build too.
Inside the interior is in great condition. This one was optioned with a factory overhead console. The original seat upholstery, door panels and dash bezels were just replaced with new reproduction units. The dash and doors were also treated to a fresh coat of black to freshen them up. The result is a very fresh looking and comfortable interior.
Under the hood the engine compartment has been nicely cleaned and detailed. The under-hood area is still quite stock with the factory California Smog System in place along with the Factory Air Conditioning. Everything appears to be correct and complete. The C-Code 289 runs excellent and sounds healthy. The C4 Automatic Transmission goes into gear quickly and shifts properly.
This one was a highly optioned car with Factory Power Steering and Power Drum Brakes. Stopping and steering are easily done making this one an easy driver.
The Air Conditioning is complete and appears to be working. It still had a small charge after all of those years of storage. We did add some R12 to the system and the unit did cool down nicely but we would recommend a complete system service.
The wheels are 14" Styled Steel Wheels wrapped with BF Goodrich Radial T/A's. They really compliment the car and look great!
