Bronco Season is just starting. A time when Broncos get bought up quicker than we can find, fix & prep them. Don’t get left out or wait too long until the prices reach their own fever pitch. Solid, well optioned examples like this are very hard for us to find.

The body on this Bronco is solid. It still wears it original floors, rockers, door posts, kick panels and quarter panels. Something most Broncos can’t claim. Not that this is a perfect Bronco or un-touched. The front floor pan had some pinholes that were welded up and treated. The paint is older with stone chips and minor scratches. The paint shines nicely and really works with the combo. If you want to look good around town and still be able to enjoy it all 4 seasons, this is what you want.

This Bronco is a rarity with the ‘1/2 cab’. This setup is very unique and this Bronco pulls off the look very nicely. The black cab shows well with the tinted windows. The builder of this Bronco was able to fit a very nice roll bar inside the cab as well as in the rear for the top-off back seat passengers. This cab fits exceptionally well. The doors close nicely, which is a rarity among Broncos.

Inside, this Bronco is clean & tidy. The floors have been lined, dash painted body color & quality aftermarket seats added. The front seats have been equipped with seat heaters with switches on the aftermarket console. There is a fold n tumble rear seat for summer time passengers complete with seat belts. The stereo is a Bluetooth unit with microphone. The factory speedometer cluster has been cleaned & detailed nicely. Aftermarket gauges keep track of the engine and the transmission. The heater system has been upgraded with a higher cfm heater fan. This Bronco can deal with the coldest of temps and leave you warm & toasty.

The 302 was completely rebuilt. It has a slightly larger than stock cam, aluminum intake manifold, Off-Road Holley Carburetor, Electronic Ignition and Dual Exhaust. It runs excellent and has good power.

The C4 Automatic was also rebuilt. It has a mild shift kit for a firm but not abusive shift. A larger capacity oil pan was added for extra cooling.

The lift was achieved with a 2” body lift and a 2 ½” suspension lift from James Duff. This combo is one of my favorites because it allows for more space in the engine compartment for cooling and it keeps the axles close enough to the body to preserve good driving characteristics without re-locating the radius arm mounts. Urethane bushings were used throughout for a nice firm feel. The track bar mounting has been lowered for proper geometry. The steering requires very little effort and this little Bronco drives well.

The braking system has been upgraded with Disc Brakes in the front and drums in the rear. The booster, master & lines were all replaced with new units that work excellent. Braking is very even and confident.

This is a very unique Bronco that has been well built for a driver or a weekender. The combination of options make this one a classic you can truly enjoy all year round, no matter the weather.
