This ’70 Eliminator is a truly rare car. Very few were made and their survival rate was quite low. If you want to stand out in a sea of Camaros and Mustangs this is the car for you.

Somehow the original window sticker stayed with the car and remains in good condition. This is one of the best pieces of original documentation there is. Anybody can buy a Marti Report, nearly all cars left the dealer with their build sheets hidden somewhere but most dealers just tossed out the window stickers. This is a really cool piece to have and present at car shows or just to frame for garage art.

The body of this cougar looks great. Walking around it you can’t help but appreciate the Competition Orange, also know as Calypso Coral. The factory designed Eliminator stripes really accentuate the body lines too. Rare trim items like the rear spoiler and hood scoop are still in place. The paint appears to be a single re-spray done many years ago. It presents nicely but does have the typical stone chips and scratches from age. The tail light bezels were just sandblasted and then powdercoated the correct satin black. The bumpers and trim all appear to be in good condition as well.

The body is overall quite solid without the common bubbling so often seen. There is some rust around the tank and lower trunk drop offs. Structurally the car is sound as is. In a future restoration it should be addressed. The floors look nice as do the torque boxes and frame rails. Overall, this is a good, solid car.

Inside, the factory black interior looks great with minor wear inside. The factory 'Camera Case' tachometer and gauge package are present and functioning. The factory clock will need serviced but is present.

Under the hood the factory 300 Horsepower 351 Cleveland is the born-with, Numbers Matching unit. The VIN is clearly stamped on the back of the block, which is actually rare among Clevelands as many missed the factory stamping. The engine fires up nicely and runs strong.

Factory optioned with Power Front Disc Brakes, Power Steering and Competition Suspension the Eliminators were very competent on the corners as well as the straight away. In addition to heavier rate springs, the Eliminators received a larger front sway bar as well as a rear sway bar. This Cougar handles nice and flat in the corners. The heavy duty disc brakes also help pull the car down from speed without drama. The power steering is great in tight spaces while also giving you plenty of feedback on the road.

The Magnum 500 wheels are in great condition. With 15x7 in front and 15x8 in the rear they easily fit the 235 60’s in the front and 275 60’s in the rear. The huge Cougar wheel wells easily house them without any issues.  We do have the original 14" steel wheels and hubcaps that can be included with the car too.
