Your looking at your next project car! This true GTO is ready to be restored and brought back to it's former glory. This car looks rough at first, but if you look closely at the pictures you'll see that the majority of the rust is contained to the outer sheet metal only. The Floors and Trunk look great and are very solid, even the Cowl and dash gauges, etc all look great. We were astounded when we saw the condition as the majority of these cars get eaten away from the inside out, we really don't understand how this GTO has the extent of rust on the outside, but can still be so solid on the inside! The body still lines up well and shows no prior damage from what we can tell. Glass is good and all the windows roll up/down as they should.

The Interior cleaned up rather well however will need some attention, but IT'S ALL THERE!!! The front seats show tears and typical signs of age is seen throughout, but the headliner, carpet, dash pad all look good. This is an interior you can at least enjoy while driving this car around as-is until your ready to start the restoration.

Speaking of driving... This GTO does run and drive, although currently we consider this to be a parking lot driver. The 350 HP/400ci V8 fires up great and seems to run good. We can see signs of recent brake work (i.e. newer calipers and brake hoses). We would recommend a throughout inspection/tune up be done before much street use, but the fact that it does currently run/drive is a great start compared to dragging an old car out of the field hoping it even turns over.

As previously mentioned above, the Chassis, floors, trunk pan etc all look rather solid. The Frame looks good also. It will need new exhaust and the typical cleaning a 50 year old chassis will usually require but it should clean up rather well. The Rims are 14" Centerline's wrapped in newer 235/60 BF Goodrich Radials.

This is a running/driving project car but these GTO's are getting hard to come by. This One has alot of the desirable options and you just cant go wrong with the hide-a-way headlights. We know this car is gonna find a good owner who will bring this GTO back to life, Is that you?
