This ’69 Mach 1 has been the lucky recipient of a quality resto-mod style restoration. While not a complete departure from stock, it has been upgraded substantially in both appearance and performance. If you want a Muscle Car Pedigree and a great looking car that will turn heads, this is it.

 

To start off with, this is a Real Deal 63C Code Mach 1. It didn’t start off life as a Plain Jane Fastback. The Mach 1’s came with Specialized Suspension, 9” Differentials, Minimum 351 Engine, Unique Interior with High Back Bucket Seats, Molded Door Panels, Wood Grain Trim, Specialized Numeric on the Instrumentation, Blacked-Out Hood and Quarter Ornaments. They were meant to stand out and they did. This Mach one underwent a professional repaint in 2012 Mustang Ingot Silver, one of the truest silver paints available.

 

Since this was a Southern California Car is was very solid & rust free. The panels line up well and the car has a striking presentation. The bumpers, moldings & emblems were all either replaced with quality reproductions or restored. This was a complete rebuild with all glass, fenders, extensions, trunk and hood all removed for paint. New weather-strip has been installed as has a new windshield and quarter window glass.

 

Inside the interior looks incredible. No system has gone untouched in here. The whole interior was professionally restored. New seat upholstery, headliner, carpet, door panels, dash pad, instrument bezel, seat belts and more were installed. The fit & finish is quite nice and ready for weekend shows or a really cool sunny day driver.

 

Under the hood the 351 Windsor has been evicted and a well massaged 390 has been installed. The 390 sports a Larger Performance Cam Grind, Adjustable Valve Train, Edelbrock Performer Aluminum Intake Manifold, 750 CFM Holley Carburetor, Cobra Jet windage tray, FPA Ceramic Coated Headers and New 2 ½” Mandrel Bent Exhaust. The engine fires up easily and has a nice aggressive lope to the idle.

 

The C6 Automatic Transmission has been rebuilt with a shift kit. It goes into gear quickly and the shifts are firm. This is a very satisfying car to drive. The engine produces torque right-off idle thanks to those cubic inches and the power just keeps intensifying as the revs come up.

 

Options like Power Disc Brakes & Power Steering really make this car an easy car to deal with an any situation whether it be in the tight confines of a parking lot or out on the highway. The car drives excellent thanks to a fully rebuilt suspension system and a quality performance minded alignment.

 

The Coys C67 Wheels have long been our favorites. We like to stagger them with a 17x8 on the front and a 18x9 on the rear. The tires really fill up the wheel wells perfectly and give the car an aggressive stance.
