1969 Mach I’s are the epitome of Muscle Car meets Pony Car. With a mean & menacing look that is classy, not boy racer. Every angle on this body style is just right.
This Mach 1 is a beautiful car. The Acapulco Blue paint was laid down nicely on a very straight car. The paint is about 7 years old and has seen very limited used since it was completed. It has been garage stored and well taken care of. The paint has some minor imperfections from use, but is still quite nice, but not perfect. The panels line up very well, doors open & close nicely, etc. This is a nice car.
Inside the interior is one of our favorites in the factory white with black trim. The combination of white & black works extremely well. The factory Mach 1 ‘cock pit design’ with wood-grain accents add a nice classy look and the re-chromed bezels really pop. Mach 1’s came with a ‘gun blued’ finish on the gauges. You can only appreciate this with properly polished lenses & re-plated bezels. The door panels are molded just right to not only look great but have a functional arm rest & enough padding to let you know you are not riding in an entry level car. High back seats with nice side bolsters and a breathable ‘Comfort Weave’ fabric hold you in place comfortably in the corners and keep you cool in hot weather. The ‘fold down seat’ option is a highly desirable one that converts the car into a 2-seater quickly allowing you a nice flat deck for packages, suitcases or whatever. You will not find a better designed interior in our opinion.
Under the hood, the 351 has been upgraded with an Edelbrock Performer RPM package consisting of RPM Aluminum Cylinder Heads, RPM Aluminum Intake Manifold & Performance Camshaft. The engine sounds INCREDIBLE and revs like a TRIP HAMMER. Every time this car starts you will smile, big. On the road the car performs excellent with power all over the RPM range. The 5 speed transmission is a real bonus too as you always have a good gear available. 5th gear is an overdrive so highway cruising is very comfortable.
The brakes work excellent. The factory Power Front Disc Brakes have been upgraded with rear disc brakes. The car stops very well and inspires confidence.
The Magnum 500’s are 15x7’s wrapped with BF Goodrich Radial T/A’s. This is a timeless combination that works well and looks perfect.
