This 1968 Mercury Cougar would make the perfect daily cruiser and local show-n-shine candidate. The Exterior looks good and shines up quite nice, but up-close you can see some slight paint chips (which have been touched up) and some very light bubbling on the front lower passenger door and right rear wheel well. Otherwise the Body is clean and straight, the doors open and close as they should and no uneven gaps are seen. The Cougar has been repainted to it's factory color and overall this vehicle is very presentable, making it perfect for a no-guilt driver!

The Interior is a blend of Vinyl Parchment vinyl upholstery and Red carpet. The seats are extremely rare, 1968 only, dual post headrest seats. Some wear is seen to the Interior and the seats will need recovered, however we will include the custom fit white sheepskin seat covers that came to us with the car. The Headliner has a small tear and is also separating at the seam, but could easily be mended to gain some extra life out of it. An Alpine stereo has been added, although could be due for an upgrade unless you have some classic tunes on some old cassette tapes laying around. Intermittent wipers have been added, and all the interior functions seem to work good.

The Engine is a Factory F-code 2v 302ci V8, but the powertrain has been tastefully modified to match up to today's road standards. A Four Barrel Carburetor has been added for additional power and a large aluminum radiator has been installed to keep things cool on the hot summer days. Factory Power Steering and Power Disc Brakes make this Cougar a breeze to drive. This car is a driver, and has been driven locally for years and has been stored indoors.

The Chassis is in rather good shape. The pans and drops all look good. Some rust is seen on the passenger torque box (All of which have been pictured). Overall this is a very solid chassis. The Rims are Fancy Chrome Mags with Coker Classic 205/75R14 Redline Tires all with good tread remaining.

This Cougar is a nice, presentable driver and would make an easy project if your wanting to restore a Classic Cougar. You will see stacks of receipts and manuals pictured which also come with the vehicle!
