This '68 is a great example of a well optioned Mustang. Fastbacks are rare, big block fastbacks are rarer and factory 4 speeds are extremely rare. Finding one with good color options, original quarter panels and floors is nearly the Holy Grail.

This car is best describe as a driver. The paint has a nice shine and the panels line up well. There are imperfections such as stone chips but overall it does present very well. There is no obvious rust or signs of prior repair.

This one still has its original floors and quarter panels that are in good condition. It appears the drivers side seat riser was replaced for some reason. Take a look at the undercarriage photos, this is a very solid car.

Inside the interior is in good condition. The interior is largely original with the exception of newer carpet and front seat upholstery. The rear seats, headliner and door panels appear to be the originals but thanks to the excellent care they still present very well. There is some fading on the original dash panels but they fit nicely and still look good.

Under the hood the 390 fires up easily and runs excellent. The engine sounds stock but does produce better power than most of the stock examples we have had (and we have had many). The 4 speed toploader transmission still wears the original reverse lock-out shifter. The transmission shifts nicely both up and down the gears with no grinding or hanging shifts.

The Power Disc Brakes and Power Steering work excellent. The steering is responsive and the car doesn't feel heavy in the corners like most big block Muscle Cars. The braking works easily, stops straight & inspires confidence.

We replaced the tires with a brand new set of BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires. The 14" wheels were also sandblasted and powder-coated in the correct light argent.

In summary this is not a fresh restoration but a well kept and maintained car. There are imperfections and blemishes you would expect from normal use. There were no receipts or documentation for rebuilds on the drive train though engine runs very well and the transmission shifts nicely. Mechanically the car works properly.
