This Camaro is stuffed with high end Pro Touring Options. This car is a ton of fun to drive with excellent handling, tremendous braking and incredible acceleration. Tire smoke is never more than a stab of the throttle away.

The body on this Camaro is an excellent example of a Southwest desert car. The floors, trunk, quarters all look great. There are a couple of small spots of rust on the bottom inside of the driver’s rear quarter. The paint is best described as a 20 footer. When the car was originally painted it was an extremely impressive build with a paint matched sub-frame and engine compartment. The car has been driven and there are plenty of small imperfections. The passenger door has chips on both the front & rear. We thought hard about repairing the paint but that quickly broke down into discussion of a complete repaint putting the car’s price out of reach to many buyers. So we are offering the car up for sale prior to paint work.

Inside the interior is set to go. With high end seats and instrumentation this is both a comfortable and inspiring interior. There is some sun fading on the seats as you would expect from an Arizona car. The Autometer Pro-Comp gauges look and function well. The Tremec 5 Speed shifter fits perfectly into your hand. The layout is great and you feel comfortable enough to tackle the highway or the track with ease.

Under the hood the 414 Cubic Inch Power Plant was built from a Dart block with AFR Cylinder Heads and a Hydraulic Roller Camshaft. The engine produces tons of power and sounds incredible. It was clearance & built to run hard, which it does well. There is the typical forged piston noise until the engine warms up. After warm the engine is still a bit noisy but runs strong and shows no obvious signs of engine damage. The Tremec 5 speed shifts beautifully with crisp, clean gear changes and an excellent feel to the clutch. The 12-Bolt Posi-Traction diff does its best to plant the car but the tires are easily ignited with just a bit of throttle. It makes you smile every time.

The braking system has been upgraded to a full 4-Wheel Power Disc Brake set up. The brakes feel great with tons of ‘bite’ with minimal pressure. The extra braking is highly appreciated with this much power.

The suspension has been upgraded with quality components from Global West. The Global West pieces are much stronger than the factory pieces while also correcting the geometry issues these cars had when new. This car handles extremely well with a nice flat attitude in corners and a positive feel. In the rear the springs are multi-leaf units that help control axle-wrap from the high horsepower engine.

Overall, as a driver, this Camaro is very impressive. It has an incredible amount of investment made into the performance characteristics. The body is extremely solid and looks good for a driver, but would benefit from some paint work if you wanted to show it or have a nice weekend cruiser for the drive in. We strive to maintain the highest level of integrity with any car we sell, and are happy to provide you with any additional photos or videos that you may need to help make an informed decision.
