This '48 Ford F1 is a gorgeous street truck with all of the classic good looks and lines of an original, blended with modern conveniences and handling/performance upgrades.  One click of a button and the hood releases, tilting forward to reveal what's really hiding within this beast!
 
The chassis was refabricated to incorporate a modern Mustang II IFS front suspension with rack & pinion steering and front power disc brakes (rear drums). The rear suspension is a 4-link and the rear differential is a 9" Ford with limited slip. 
The custom built front clip on this truck tilts forward 90 degrees for access to the 302 V8 ford with Weiand dual top tunnel ram (2 Edelbrock carbs) and tons of chrome.  An electric fan works in conjunction with the radiator to keep this beast cool and the A/C system works to keep YOU cool (needs a recharge).  Did we mention EVERYTHING is chrome!?!  
The on-board compressor with front and rear air bags allow you to drop it to the ground for the ultimate stance, and raise it back up when its time to cruise.  The headers and dual exhaust sing sweet sounds at all RPM's and the newer Falcon tires wrapped around the American Racing mags look incredible while keeping traction manageable with this strong running 302 and nice shifting C4 auto trans!  
 

Walking around the outside of this '48 Ford, you'll notice at a distance it looks solid black with perhaps a hint of metallic depending on the light.  Look closer - especially in the bright sun - this truck has the most incredible metallic finish we've ever seen!  The rainbow metallic flake seems to capture your eye differently on each body panel giving you a color changing perspective on the finish.  The paint overall is amazingly vibrant for lack of better words and although it was sprayed years ago, it shows very well with only a few chips and one section on the hood with some stress cracks.  The custom light finish wood in the bed with aluminum strips contrasts beautifully against the dark paint.  This one is easily nice enough for the weekend show and shines but isn't too nice for the long drives it was designed and built for.

The door handles have been shaved on this truck and as we move to the inside, it just takes a simple push button of the remote to enter.  The interior is simply stunning, framed in a beautiful red paint, red carpet and red headliner with black carbon fiber look in the upholstery and seating.  The Classic Instruments gauges show: oil pressure, speed, rpms, temp, fuel, battery and time with the matching clock.  The heat and A/C controls in custom billet aluminum center beautifully on the dash.  The custom center console with carbon fiber finish houses the air ride pressure gauges and control buttons along with power window controls, ignition, wiper and lights. Yes, it even has power windows.  The custom upholstered Fox Body seats (powered) without headrests fit very well and provide not only a great matching look but comfortable feel.  The leather wrapped steering wheel with Idit steering column finishes the look nicely.

The electrical is in order with working wipers, heater, blinkers, brake lights, horn, hood release  gauges, etc. This one just works well.

This pickup only has about 2200 miles on the build.  With a huge file of receipts to document the work, this truck is an investment in your fun and enjoyment THIS SUMMER!  Why buy a project truck and spend the next 2 years exercising the limits of your patience and your marriage?!?  :)
