This is a very striking car. The combination of Royal Marron with Black-Out Hood, Spoilers and Stripes is very Muscle Car. Originally Built in the San Jose Califonia Plant and delivered to Huntington Beach, California this Mach 1 has lead a very lucky life. The floorpans, quarter panels, frame rails and torque boxes appear to be the originals with no signs obvious of corrosion or prior repair. The paint looks beautiful and is good for a driver, not perfect as it has some imperfections visible on close inspections. Easily will hold its own at weekend shows and make just about anyone proud.
Inside the interior was recently restored. Reproduction Seat Upholstery, Carpet, Door Panels and Dash pad all look great. The console and radio have had new bezels installed. A Tilt-Column and Fold Down Rear Seat are other options on a long list of desirable ones this car has.
Fire up the 351 Cleveland and you will notice a nice lope to the idle and a deep note to the exhaust, watch the video!!! The C6 Automatic Transmission has a Shift Kit and a 2500 RPM Stall Converter. Out back the 9" Differential is as tough as they come with the upgraded Lincoln Versailles Disc Brake Unit. The Lincolns used a heavy duty housing, basically the same as Currie uses for their Heavy Duty Housings. An added bonus of the Versailles rear end is that it is about 3/4" narrower on each side providing extra room for some big shoes out back! The 8" Magnums and 275 60 BFG's fill up the wheel well and look great!
This car was optioned with Power Disc Brakes and Power Steering. Both are great options and really make this car a nice driver.
Being an Original Big Block car, it was fitted with the reinforced shock towers. Anyone with any experience with 69 and 70 Mach 1's has seen many small blocks with cracked & broken shock towers. The big blocks do not have this problem thanks to their stronger shock towers allowing you to drive this car as hard as you like without the fear of damaging it.
